This is how you can replace the plastic bottle with Clear & Protect Solid Shampoo and Conditioner In-A-Bar from Biovène Barcelona!

CEO, Erik Lambert, explains why he believes these bars will help shape the future.

1. Tell us about your #ReplaceTheBottle campaign and projects connected with this including the beach cleanups in Barcelona and all over the world?

Over 80 billion plastic bottles are disposed every year from shampoos and conditioners alone, most end up in places where they shouldn’t. The new eco-friendly solid Shampoo and Conditioner bars from Biovène makes it easy to switch from plastic by meeting the consumer’s demand of quality. The idea behind #ReplaceTheBottle is to create a community of activists who want to support a global change. As part of our strategy, we are supporting Cleanbeachinitiative.org with awareness and equipment to organize local cleanups in Barcelona, Valencia andMalaga. With retailers lined up to meet the increasing demand of solid beauty in 2020, we are getting ready to scale up globally to support and organize local initiatives.

2. Can you also tell us about any other causes that your brand is campaigning for?

Biovène supports Plant-for-the-Planet.org and their global movement with an ambitious goal: to fight the climate crisis by planting trees. This involves educating children around the world on environmental topics while providing a cost-effective solution to plant trees and offset CO2 emissions.

In light of the Covid-19 fallout, we have also launched a campaign called #Cowin-20. The website is dedicated to raising funds to provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to public service workers in local communities, in cities and countries all over the world.

3. And specifically in Spain are you doing any other work that supports local charities/causes?

We have a pilot program in Barcelona for sustainable and environmentally protective e-commerce with Nozama (nozama.green), driven by a recycling model and green
delivery. Nozama was born with the vision of changing the current economic model that is based on the underlying principle of selling mass consumption products without regard to what happens to the packaging after usage. In order for communities to be sustainable, responsible consumption and production need to be achieved. Nozama ensures that whatever is sold through it's online platform, like Biovéne Barcelona's solid shampoo bars are recycled, while also providing at-home recycling with its Nozama Pick Up app. Nozama partners with companies to offer them RaaS, Recycling as a Service to recover and recycle the packaging of their products, and in doing so enable companies to be sustainable and for their customers to track their waste.

4. Do you think brand activism is rising in the beauty industry?

Rising activism in the beauty industry is a result of the overall increased awareness across all industries. It’s fantastic that climate change activist Greta Thunberg was named TIME Magazine's Person of the Year: Perhaps we need to be more cautious and wary how activists and ambassadors are being criticized and judged, we can’t count on everyone to be as strong as Greta. I think many brands want to be able to have a supporting role for initiatives that drives good changes for our planet - without making it too political.

5. How do you think brand activism will change the beauty industry and the way consumers relate to brands in the future?

The rising consumer demand for more eco-friendly products is fuelling the research and development of new packaging options, but until there are cost effective packaging options that can replace what’s mainly being used today (plastic), the industry may benefit by offering consumers alternatives – just like Biovène solid Shampoo & Conditioner bars, which shows there are better solutions that remove the need for plastic in the first place. Consumers may soon also start to demand e- commerce companies to take extra responsibility and collect their household waste at
the ti me of delivery. It’s easy to shop more when you feel better knowing your wasteis processed and recycled properly and not ending up in the water.
